mixin’ up your workout!!

Gah, Ryan Gosling!!! I seriously get like nervous anytime I see him on tv or in a movie or whatever! I know I am such a freak, but I think he is my soul mate…. haha and I mean if anything this pic is enough to get me motivated…now I am just going to picture him cheering me on every time I do my workout!!! Heck yes! Motivation at it’s finest!

So, I have been really trying to get more strength training incorporated into my workouts by trying new ab and arm routines! So far I have gotten a lot of motivation and different workouts to try from Pinterest. I also started using dumbbells last week at  the gym and absolutely loved it! My arms were actually really sore the next few days and I feel like that is always a good sign after an intense workout!

Last night I did this 50 min. treadmill workout:

I finished up by doing about 40 minutes of dumbbells and weighted abs! Felt stronger for sure after completing that much time working out! Definitely took a nice long bath to relax and soak my muscles  too, which was definitely needed 🙂

Today I think I am going to do a 40 min treadmill workout and 10 min on the stairclimber…let’s see if I can come up with a workout right now!!!

Ab Routine:

  1. Mountain Climbers- 20
  2. Russian Twists- 25
  3. Bicycles- 25
  4. V-Ups- 20
  5. Leg Circles- 10 small, 10 large
  6. Plank 30 sec.
  7. Push-Ups- 10

Repeat 3x

But apparently Minka is a little more hardcore than I am!!! Maybe one day I will be able to do those 8.0 sprints, but for now I am gonna stick with my adapted version!!
